VETMotorsports will have a group of veteran drivers at  NWOR Points Event 4 on June 15 at Toledo Express!

For those of you unfamiliar with VETMotorsports, we immerse and engage post 9/11 disabled combat vets in motorsports activities.  We engage their mind, body, and spirit in an adrenalin filled motorsports environment to provide experiences to help their transition back into civilian life.  We apply the sense of mission, team, and urgency they learned in their military experience in a civilian world.

The experience is extremely impactful for  the vets, and rather than try to explain it, I'll provide a quote from one of our recent veteran drivers:
First and foremost, thank you both for this amazing opportunity. Not only was it one of the best days I've had in years but it was a great day for my wife and kids as well! Everything was better than expected and I can't think of anything that can be different. Thank you both again as you guys and the sports car club are doing an amazing thing! Vets with PTSD like myself often feel left behind and today I felt like I belonged to something again!!!
My mother also wanted me to thank you guys for her. She broke down sobbing hearing the excitement in my voice when I called her after we got home. She said she hasn't heard that in my voice since I was in middle school. And this woman doesn't cry. She is currently undergoing treatments for cancer. So if you were curious why I shave my beautiful head of hair, it is for her!! Thank you guys again. Words really cannot describe what today meant to me and the little bit of family that still speaks to me!
This is typical of the response we get from those who have served. Makes me proud to be a part of it, and pay back our veterans in a small manner.
We've done four events with Ohio Valley Region, a pilot event with Indy Region, and this will be our first with NWOR.

To make this run smoothly, I'd like to ask for help from NWOR in the form of Driver Coaches and Assistants.

Essentially, a Coach and / or Assistants spend time with our veterans walking the course, riding along on their runs, giving them ride-alongs, etc. Basically, helping them out like you would any novice.   Most events, I have 10 or so people that step up to assist, and it helps tremendously.

If you can help out, please let me know by replying here or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  I'll email some info and set up a quick conference call so we can do Q & A.

Thanks again - We are looking forward to running with NWOR!
